I'm Ava, the owner + founder of Ava Bujold Co! I’m a driven twenty two year old wedding photographer, nurse, and animal-lover located in Duluth Minnesota. I began my photography journey when I bought my first camera at thirteen in hopes to become a famous YouTuber. Unfortunately my dreams of becoming a YouTuber were *very* short-lived, so I turned to photography as my next hobby. Nearly nine years later, I’ve transformed that hobby into my very own business.
Bujold (prounounced "bee-jchew") is my middle name & is derived from my mom's side of my family. My siblings and I all share it as a middle name. It is of French decent, and quite frankly I think it sounds cool. I find it important to honor this side of my family as they've been pivotal in my journey of becoming a photographer.

As of recently, I've decided to ditch my career as a nurse (sorry mom and dad) to chase this dream of being a photographer, and most importantly, someone who is fueled by what they do.
If you were to ask me to describe my dream life-scenario , I would illustrate a life living lakeside or oceanside with my boyfriend Ben and my two kitties, traveling, making core memories with my friends and family, going to as many concerts as I can, eating all the Mexican food I can find, befriending + photographing clients and couples all around the world, and meeting the legendary Stevie Nicks, of course.
